GANPATI and GAJANANA:
Lord Shiva lived in kailash with his wife Godess parvati , he had a group of huge followers who were addressed as "ganas" by the rest of the world .After lord ganesh was reborn, with An elephant head he was called gajanana (i.e. person with a elephant head). Lord Ganesh did not have a ordinary birth,Rati cursed Goddess Parvati that she would never be able to bear a child in her womb hence , after lot of austerity she got the power to create her child by using her body's dirt and moulding it into a statue.Since Lord Ganesh’s birth was possible without the involvement of lord shiva he was given the name vinayak (i.e.bina =बिना=without and nayak = नायक = main male).

Like mentioned above lord ganesh was born from the dirt collected by Goddess parvati. But to collect that dirt from her body she required water, the water used was of river Ganga (Ganga is holy river goddess in india ),hence lord ganesh is referred as gangeya.Goddess Ganga mentions Lord Ganesh as his son , he had two mothers Goddess Parvati and Ganga therefore he was called dvaimatura (i.e.son of two mothers ).
